7 days to our first game what do you aim to accomplish this season?
for me, i want to be an asset to the team. to be the best defender out there and strike fear in the opponent every time i step on court. i want ZERO goals to be scored against my line.i want to be a team player, to contribute to the success of the team. to earn the right to say "yes my team won, and i was a part of it". i dont want to be someone who just runs around on court to kill time so that the other players can rest. what kind of player do you want to be?
for forwards. make EVERY shot count. imagine taking a shot, seeing the ball sink at the back of the net. the crowd cheers, you hear "good shot" followed by claps. dont you feel empowered? the rush of emotions, the feeling of invincibility. make EVERY shot count so that when a goal is scored, it's because you took a good shot, and not because you were lucky and happened to tap the ball in. maybe you disagree with me, since a goal is indeed a goal and still contributes to the final score. but are you sure you want to win a match because you were lucky? for me, definitely no. i want to win because we ARE GOOD, because we WORKED OUR ASSES for it, because we FOUGHT HARD for it and because we truly DESERVE it.
